The Harley Medical Group, one of the UK's leading cosmetic surgery clinics, has recently been reporting on trends it has noticed within the UK cosmetic surgery market, and in particular with patients who have been chosing to have liposuction procedures.
According to the Harley Medical Group, one of the most noticeable trends was in the type of liposuction procedures that patients were requesting, and in particular the regions were they were requesting the fatty deposits to be removed from. Whilst traditional liposuction was used to remove unwanted deposits on the stomach region, an increasing number of patients are now looking to have liposuction performed on the areas above the knees (knee saddles), the back areas, the upper arms (bingo wings) and the region between the calves and the ankles (cankles).
