55,000,000 Cosmetic surgery procedures each year by 2015

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons' in house medical journal 'Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery' has predicted that by 2015 there will be more than 55 million cosmetic surgery procedures performed each year. The society found that between 1992 and 2005 of all the procedures performed by its members non surgical procedures increased at a compound annual growth rate in excess of 27%.
